We have a lot of fun Christmas traditions that we HAVE to do every year! Christmas Eve is especially fun. We had our annual Christmas Eve dinner, complete with pizza, chips and dip, crackers and cheese, vegetables, beef stick, cheese ball, queso dip, soda, sparkling cider and candy. Kristen, Rick, Paden, Spencer, Hannah and McKinnley Jorgensen joined us as well as Grandma and Grandpa Orton.
We opened our Christmas book (The Wooden Shoe Miracle) and passed it around for all our guests to sign. We have been doing this for many years. It is fun to look back over the years to see the books we have collected and who has been to our home on Christmas Eve's past.
Before the Jorgensens and Grandma and Grandpa went home the cousins all opened their Christmas Pajama's.
We then quickly left cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer, read our Christmas book, read Luke 2, looked in the sky for Santa's sleigh and laid our Christmas Stockings out. Then the kids all slept in the same bedroom where they had made a fort out of blankets. Even the big kids sleep in the tent!
The kids set their alarm for 6:30 so they could wake up mom and dad by 7:00. We then went downstairs to see if Santa came. We had such a fun time spending time with each other.
